Check a whole team
Pokémon Weakness Calculator: find your team’s shared weaknesses
Enter up to six Pokémon to see how much damage each attacking type does to every team member, which weaknesses your team shares, and which types it handles well.
Type a name to fill in its types, or pick types for a custom or Tera member.
Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded or saved. Type Calculator is an unofficial fan-made tool and is not affiliated with Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. or The Pokémon Company. Species types come from the PokeAPI open data set and use each Pokémon’s current types.
How to use the weakness calculator
Type up to six Pokémon names and the calculator fills in their types, or choose types yourself for a Tera Type or a custom pick. The chart lists all 18 attacking types down the side and each team member across the top. Shaded cells are weaknesses or resistances, and the last two columns count how many team members are weak to that type or resist it.
A row marked in red is a shared weakness: two or more Pokémon are weak to it and fewer team members resist it. Those are the types an opponent can use to sweep your team, so add a Pokémon that resists them or teach a move that hits the threat first.
- Count weaknesses and resistances, not just weaknesses: a type that hits three members hard but is resisted by two others is less of a problem.
- Immunities count as resistances in the totals.
- Print chart gives a clean copy of the table for planning on paper.
Common questions
What is the difference between this and the type calculator?
The type calculator shows one Pokémon in detail, including Tera Types and abilities. The weakness calculator puts a whole team side by side so you can spot weaknesses several members share.
How many shared weaknesses is too many?
There is no fixed rule, but three or more team members weak to the same type with nobody resisting it is a common problem worth fixing.
Can I enter forms such as Alolan or Galarian Pokémon?
Yes. Regional forms, Mega Evolutions and other forms with different types are listed under their full names, such as Galarian Moltres or Mega Gyarados.
